The foundation for the STAR refinery was established.
Achieving refinery-petrochemicals integration as the largest real sector investment in Türkiye at a single time, STAR Refinery received Türkiye’s first Strategic Investment Incentive Certificate.
STAR Refinery was awarded the “Best Refinery Financing Deal of the Year” by Project Finance International and Infrastructure Journal.
STAR Refinery was opened with an international ceremony.
The operational area of SOCAR Türkiye in Aliaga, where the STAR refinery is located, has been designated a "special industrial zone."
The first naphtha produced by STAR Refinery was delivered to Petkim.
STAR Refinery became the first refinery in the world to be selected for the "Global Lighthouse Network," in which the World Economic Forum (WEF) accepts the facilities that use Industry 4.0 technologies best in production.
STAR Refinery ranked 3rd in the "Türkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises" list by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry.
